Cindy Becker, Program Director

Cindy is a 1991 graduate of the University of Puget Sound with a degree in Occupational Therapy.  She has specialized training in sensory integration and certification in Neuro-Developmental Treatment.  Cindy also has specialization in sensory processing disorders, training in therapeutic use of vestibular stimulation strategies and training in Kawar Vestibular-Ocular Protocol ("Astronaut Training").  She started working with therapy riding in 1998.  A realization of the benefits of working with the animals versus a clinic environment led to the founding of Therapeutic Assets in 2003.  Cindy provides hands-on therapy and direction to all participants of the program.

Andrea Smith, Physical Therapy Director

Andrea earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Utah in 2006.  She has been affiliated with Therapeutic Assets since that time.  She brings a skill level that greatly benefits our riders.

Valerie Duffin, Occupational Therapy Director

Valerie graduated from the University of Utah in 2005 with a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.  She is the lead OT for the Davis county school district. She has specialized in sensory integration and sensory processing disorders. She is a Level 1 Therapist in Hippotherapy through the AHA.
